About Andy Britnell
I was first involved in customer service at the age of 13 when my parents bought
a hotel in Cornwall. Later I studied Hotel and Catering Administration at degree
level, spending my industrial training year with both the Savoy Hotel and Claridges
in London. Deciding to change direction on completing my degree, I spent 5 years
in the music business on a semi-professional basis, making ends meet doing hotel
work and managing a cheese shop.
Concluding that music was not going to feed me, I joined BT as a clerical assistant.
Over 15 years I progressed to international sales and service roles, most recently
analysing training needs and designing and delivering innovative development
programmes. In 2002 I set up my own business offering training, coaching and
consultancy. My guiding principle is helping people to grow and learn.
"We cannot teach people anything: we can only help them discover it for themselves"
