In the past we’ve sent a Christmas newsletter but this year we thought the New Year, traditional time for making changes, would be a good opportunity to share some of the most inspiring and helpful things we’ve come across. Rather than send it straight after New Year we thought we would delay it to give you a motivational boost.

For anyone running their own business or planning to:

The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What To Do About It by Michael Gerber.  Harper Collins, 1994.

Judy was gobsmacked when she read this – every situation described in this book by an American consultant to small business had happened to her, but she’d already sold her business so it was too late to try out some changes.  Hopefully the timing will be better for you.

Time to do some clearing out ready for spring?

Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston.  Piatkus, 1998.

A bestselling little book that’s easy and quick to read and provides practical advice for even the most dedicated hoarder on starting to get rid of your clutter, and how that will benefit your life as a whole.

To help you keep your resolutions to get fit, get smaller, get a new job or whatever:

www.hassleme.co.uk will send you reminder emails every few days or weeks, whatever you choose, so you won’t slip back into old bad habits.

Ever wondered why you so often don’t get round to doing the things that you really, really want to do?

The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield.  Grand Central Publishing, 2003.

A wise and inspiring explanation by a successful novelist of how resistance in one of its many forms gets in the way, and how to get over or round resistance and put your dreams into practice.  Read an excerpt at http://www.stevenpressfield.com/books/war_art.asp#excerpt

And tune into Passion for the Planet, the UK’s only radio station focused on health and the environment, to listen to Judy talking about working from home - available on DAB radio and the internet.  No DJ’s, no programmes, just excellent music, news and features.
